Insolvency Administrators Congress 2011

In 2011 the German Insolvency Administrators Congress will be taking place for the sixth time. The main topic of the event (held on 27-29 October 2011 in Berlin) will be the Act Serving the Further Facilitation of the Reorganization of Enterprises (Gesetz zur weiteren Erleichterung der Sanierung von Unternehmen) (ESUG), which is slated for final deliberations in the second and third readings of the Federal Parliament on the first day of the Congress (27 October).The ESUG will subsequently also be the focus of Federal Justice Minister Sabine Leutheusser-Schnarrenberger’s opening speech on Friday morning.
Other topics of the meeting programme will be new tools for restructuring (e.g., “Scheme of Arrangement”) and insolvency administration quality. Several leading German insolvency law, restructuring and economic experts have agreed to be presenters at the event.
